Science Discovery Afternoon

sdn4

Yesterday we had a wonderful event after school called Science Discovery, organized by our science instructor, Clara Svedlund. Eighteen community groups came to out Lower School campus to engage students in activities that included learning about navigation with a compass, matching skulls and pelts, racing the radar, viewing ‘sewer bugs’ through a
microscope, looking at the sun through a telescope, and learning about native trees and plants. It was an exciting afternoon filled with lots of hands on learning activities.

SCIENCE IS GREAT!

Dinosaur Babies

Today students made dinosaur eggs!

Using a handful of shredded ivory soap and water, students molded an egg around a plastic dinosaur toy.

The result is a perfectly delightful way for students to keep their hands clean!
