Today we celebrated and honored our dads with a fun afternoon I called “Dads and Dogs,” hot dogs that is! In preparation for this special event, students painted a ceramic pencil holder. What dad wouldn’t love this on his desk?!
The students also wrote books for their dads, which they read aloud one by one.
Some of my favorite sentences were:
When my dad is driving he does business.
I love it when my dad tickles me.
My dad makes me laugh when he disobeys his own rules.
My dad taught me how to feed my fish.
My dad taught me how to ride a quad.
My dads favorite thing to do is watch soccer on the couch.
So very precious!
After eating the hot dogs and chili beans, we broke up into teams for a friendly game of t-ball.
I hope the dads enjoyed the day as much as I did! Happy Father’s Day to all you terrific dads out there!
